Mike Arter-Current President
Michael L. Arter is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Penn State Altoona. He received his Ph.D. in criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. His research interests focus on policing, police stress, drug addiction, and drug abuse policies. His work has appeared in Criminal Justice Studies, Deviant Behavior, Journal for Juvenile Justice Services, and the Handbook of Police Administration.

Joe Gosseaux-First Vice President
Joe Gosseaux is a Professor at Neumann University in addition to being the head of the Criminal Justice dicipline at the University since 2000. Joe is a retired FBI Supervisory Sepcial Agent from the White Collar Crime Division, where he served honarably for 28 years.
Jim Ruiz-Treasurer

James (Jim) Ruiz is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in the School of Public Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg. He received his Ph.D. from the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University, Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and his Bachelor of Arts and Associates of Arts in Criminal Justice from Minot State University. His previous teaching experience includes serving as an Instructor at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Teaching Fellow at Sam Houston State University, and Assistant Professor at Westfield State College. He began his career in criminal justice as a police officer with the New Orleans Police Department in 1967 serving in the Patrol, Communications, and Mounted Divisions as well as the Emergency Services Section and N.C.I.C. He retired in 1985. Some of his publications have appeared in The American Journal of Police, Criminal Justice Ethics, The International Journal of Police Science and Management, Police Forum, The Critical Criminologist, and the Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology. He is the author of The Black Hood of the Ku Klux Klan and co-author of The Handbook of Police Administration. His research interests include police administration and supervision, ethics in policing, police interaction with persons with mental illness, use of force, canine deployment, and the Ku Klux Klan.
